Hotel Directions

For most travelers, the arrival point is Pichoy Airport (ZAL), about 32 kilometers north of Valdivia. The trip between the airport and Hotel Diego De Almagro takes around 30-40 minutes by car. Take an official airport taxi or shared transfer service (minibus) which are very reliable with fixed prices directly to the hotel door.

Long-distance buses from other Chilean cities, such as Santiago or Puerto Montt, arrive at the Valdivia Bus Terminal. The terminal is slightly out of the city center. The easiest way to access the hotel from here is to take a taxi or Uber ride of no more than 10-15 minutes long, and quite cheap.

For those arriving by car, Valdivia is accessible via Route 5 (the Pan-American Highway), taking the corresponding exit. The hotel is very easy to find, prominently located on the main waterfront avenue (Arturo Prat). One of the hotel's biggest advantages is that it offers free, private parking for guests, an invaluable convenience in the busy city center.
